52-Bed
Chesterfield Village Assisted Living. Springfield Missouri
This
facility was designed and built to accommodate non-ambulatory
elderly persons at Chesterfield Village Planned Development
Subdivision. One of the initial challenges faced by our architect
during the design was resolving the Owner's desire to use only half
of the 4.62 acres for the project and reserving the other half for a
future complementary facility. In short, increasing the density for
the property. This was in direct conflict with the City of
Springfield's Planning Commission which originally zoned the
property for only a 60-bed residential care facility. Our architect
successfully argued that using only half of the 4.62 acre lot for
the project and reserving the other half for a future project was a
better utilization of (the property) a scares resource. The Planning
& Zoning Commission bought into the argument and approved the
plans for construction. This is an example of our value added
approach to our clients.
